What shapes an at-home obedience package
- The number of visits, which can range from a handful to a longer series.
- Whether training moves from the living room to the yard and the street.
- Follow-up between visits, such as video check-ins or written notes.
- How many dogs in the house are included in the plan.
- Time for the trainer to watch your dog settle after the excitement ends.

Good questions
Before you begin.
Can a dog learn obedience if the problems are mostly at the door?
Yes. Door manners are a home skill, and practicing on the real threshold is the best way to build them. Every home and dog is different, so use this as a starting point and ask the trainer about your own situation.
How many weeks does a home package last?
Plans commonly run several weeks with one visit each week. Your daily practice matters more than the number of visits.
Will my dog listen outside the house too?
Skills learned inside need to be practiced in new places step by step. A good plan includes that move.
What tools should I expect to use?
Usually a flat collar or harness, a six-foot leash and small treats. Ask the trainer to explain anything else they suggest.
Where do I find more detail on pricing?
The programs page lists every range side by side, and each range is a general estimate. Always ask for the full cost in writing.
